I don’t know if any of you are using a plugin called quickstats but if you are I would strongly suggest getting rid of it. Who ever wrote didn’t do a very good job setting up the were storing the data in the database. There is a lot, A LOT of redundant data that inflates your database. I installed it and let it run for a week and my database went from about 5 mb to about 45mb. that is ridiculous. Just though I would let everyone know because I found out the hard way. Easy fix thought, just disable that plugin and deleted the table it was using. And for future reference you can’t have a tracking script with just one MySQL table. It is a bad was to store data. Hopefully this post will get to the author and he will update his plugin. In that case I would be more than willing to delete this post. Happy wordpressing!!!
