Hey everyone! I am currently updating my WP-Backlinks plugin and adding more features. I have gotten a lot of great feed back from everyone and I have a good idea of what everyone wants me to add. I am also writing two other plugins that are pretty cool. One of them is a DMOZ style directory plugin that I think will be very useful to a lot of sites! The other one is pretty much finished. It is a definition plugin where if you are writing a post and you want to have the definition there for your readers you simply put it in double square brackets and it will look up the definition of that word and store it in your database and display it at the bottom of that post. It also created a named anchor to the definition from the word. I have a lot of great idea and plan on making a lot of cool plugins for wordpress. Feel free to send me your ideas on plugins you would like to see and I will make them and give you credit for the idea.
This week I will be adding a downloads page where you can get a current list of my plugins and see what’s going to be coming out soon. I have a list that I made of about 12 plugins that I think would be good additions for wordpress, so check back regularly to see what has been added. Some of them I have already coded in the form of SugarCRM modules and it doesn’t take me too long to turn them into plugins.
Let me know your ideas!
Eric!

August 10th, 2007 at 9:03 am Eric, the Definitions plugin looks great. Suggests a plugin for Footnotes would be very useful as well: - tag a phrase in some way - tagged phrase appears with hyperlinked footnote number - links to footnote where blogger cites source. Sometimes you want to cite a source or provide further evidence for a statement, and you need to describe this, not just use an inline link.
August 28th, 2007 at 12:07 pm Hi, I love the idea of this plug in. Everyone is always trying to get back links so this makes it easier for people to come to you and just add one. One SEO hint would be for people to make sure they have something like add URL as part of the meta tags, title, and page so search engines will pick it up and others looking for back links will know you are willing. I am having a problem with the display. The titles are not lining up with the proper boxes. Here is the page: http://www.therealtaiwan.com/friends-of-trt Any ideas for a quick fix? I can copy and paste the code in the right spot in the editor. Best regards, John
