I had to get new headphones today and when I went into Best Buy I was surprised at how much things have changed over the years. I mean its not really a surprise but I got to thinking of how much things have changed in my life.
My first computer was a commodore. It was not the best but at the time I thought it was the greatest. You could say I learned all about computers by using DOS. DOS was the “thing” back then. Even my printer was a dot matrix. Now I think about how much I loved it and I cringe.
My first camera was a Kodak that when you took the picture you had to take it off and rub this stick stuff on it and of course it was black and white. Then it was replaced by a video camera that was so big you had to hold it on your shoulder to use it. The videos were so funny back then. I remember taking pictures of my grandparents and they would stand still and I would tell them they could move so my grandmother would wave. LOL
Now my digital is so slim it fits in my small pocket but takes awesome pictures. Video cameras are now so small you can hold them in the palm of your hand and take movies. Just looking at the headphones I was surprised at how many different kinds they have now. Kinds you can use to talk to others on the computers and listen to music at the same time.
Computers are so different now. You buy one today and tomorrow a better one comes out. You just can’t keep up with the changes anymore. I used to think life was easier before we went all out with modern technology but I went a week without my computer and thought I would go nuts. Same with your cell phone. Try it for one week. No computer, camera or cell phone. See if you last the whole week. I will be surprised if you do. Honest.
