As a Mozilla junkie myself, I was very excited to hear the news that the Mozilla 3 that has been currently in beta testing mode the last three months or so (with a great share of bugs!), is expected to reach it’s peak and be released officially by the corporation in June of 2008.

One of the major perks to the new Firefox version three is that it will feature hundreds of add ons and plugins to further customize and make your notebook or computer into a fully customized desktop with all the buttons, bars, and tools you need to run your home or actual office the way YOU want to.

The first version of the new Mozilla 3 was released a few days ago at Mozilla Release 3 Canidate 1, and is being watched closely by the programmers and looking for feedback from the already 1.5 million users that have downloaded the service. Firefox crossed the 500 million download usage world wide in February and is now reaching about the 556 million mark.

While we are all excited to see what Mozilla has in store for us, rumors have circulated that the memory usage and loading speed are much faster than the competitor Internet Explorer, especially with many tabs and information being exchanged at such a high volume. As one of the users that myself constantly has more tabs open that humanly necessary, I can only pray that this statement will hold out to be true. We “tab-junkies” need our fix, and if our search bar can handle our tab addiction, then let’s name it King and start our own country, right?

The Cnet Review of Firefox 3 Release Canidate One remarked that the new memory capacities are “nothing to write home about” and complains that there is still some add on compatibility issues occurring. Never the less I am excited about the release and I hope all you are too. There will also be a newer Mozilla messaging group that will help and support the Thunderbird Email Client.

Here’s to you Mozilla, looking forward to all the goodies you have in store for us!
