When to use it? I use this in my comments section before I moderate them. If someone leaves me a comment like, Nice Site! I leave the no follow tag because why would I reward them with a backlink without contributing anything to my site? If someone leaves a useful comment that will help out my users I take the nofollow off.
I make sure to mention the criteria for me taking off the nofollow. This helps get more useful comments and everyone wins.
So if you own a blog or website I think you should share your backlinks because this will actually entice other people to link to you. I know if I see someone linking to my site I usually always link back.
July 30th, 2007 at 10:49 pm I run the dofollow plugin on my blogs and i have no problem linking to people who make a good comment. I just delete the rest.
