CSS “Cascading Style Sheets” is a way to design a style websites. it was designed to enhance the look and layout options availible for website1. Also reducing the code by hacing a style sheet that defines your websites layout2 and styles. This eliminates redundant code on each one of your websites pages. Having your layout and style information available in a single file makes it much easier to do site wide changes to your layout or styles.
CSS has much more advanced layout options as well. With html you were pretty much stuck with tables to get your site the way you wanted it. CSS has brought many more layout options so you creativity won’t be limited to what html is capable of. If you have noticed that websites have come a long way in the last couple years you can contribute that to CSS as well as some other languages.
