What is yahoo know for? blahblahblah@yahoo.com That’s right, email! Yahoo has a great email service and it has been that way for years. My first email account was with yahoo and I still have it to this day. In my opinion that is their cream of the crop. I also go there to look at movie reviews or browse real estate and if i need to search for something I’m not going to leave yahoo and go to google to search. I will just search right there in yahoo. I think that is how most people use yahoo search. Yahoo has been improving their search capabilities and they are doing a great job, but!! I don’t think they are on google’s level for search.

Why does it sound like I am so for Google? Because looking at my web logs I see that Google is my number one referer  for every single one of my sites!! That to me is pretty important, because the whole reason for SEO is to get people to your website and show them what you have to offer. Since google is my main source of traffic I want to focus on making my site google friendly!

Okay back to yahoo. Fortunately yahoo looks for a lot of the same things in a webpage that google does so we won’t have to go over two different ways of optimizing a website and then have to choose at the end. All the techniques I will go over are good for all the major search engines.
