As a recently single again women, I have come to the realization that romance is hard to find. It is becoming harder and harder to find anyone decent; let alone Mr. Right. Now don’t get me wrong, I know a ton of great guys who all happen to belong to my great friends. I began to notice this after going back into the dating scene again… the bars, clubs, trying to look cute at the bookstore hoping to meet someone who reads. But then I started to take a closer look and come to find out guys are just as clueless as I am. Which is scary in one way and such a relief in others. I mean after all, I am the one complaining about the dating scene and what do I know about being romantic ? With all the dating websites promising to find the “right” one for you and the seemingly constant reminder that I am single again it makes me wonder have we lost site of true romance? Have we become a society that is so jaded and so concerned with finding Mr.Right that we veto every guy for some reason or another before even giving them a chance? I think this may be the case in many situations. I know there have been many times where I have felt like I was vetoed right off the bat and wished that I could take back an idiotic statement. So maybe, romance isn’t hard to find, it is just something we have to give a chance to shine through. Hard to find,yes; worth giving up on not in this bloggers mind. So be patient…the I love you letter is worth the wait.
