backgammon board is being built for a backgammon master who has applied to Guinness Gamer Book of World Records for the longest dice toss in the history of the game? The “plan” is to toss the dice upwards out of a helicopter up over 200-300 feet onto the gigantic playing field. The best part about this whole thing is that two of the top backgammon players in the world will actually be PLAYING a match of giant backgammon from helicopter and by moving giant pieces on the one acre field by volunteers equipped with walkie talkies.

While it’s hard to imagine the scale of this board, the diameter of the checkers going to be used are three feet in diameter EACH. The winner of this tournament gets to keep the pair of dice valued at over 1000 euros and would make a great conversation piece to any gamers’ living room. The purpose of the event is he purpose to advertise the new freeroll promotions on Tuesdays and Fridays from the folks at Backgammon Masters. In edition to the Guinness people being invited to the event, tickets will be sold to witness the event and the proceeds from these seat purchases will be donated to charity.
