If not, here are some good reasons to become one. If you have ever been apart of a charity before you would know that it makes you feel better as a person to know that you are helping. Your friends, family, and coworkers will respect what you are doing, and of course you can write it off on your taxes. There are plenty of ways to give to charities and I wanted to spread some information on this one.
The average Alzheimer’s Memory Walk is about 2-3 miles. There is a tool help you locate the nearest walk and tons of information available at Memory Walk!
Becoming a team captain is a great way to spread the awareness of this event. An easy way to do this is by signing up on the Memory walk website to become a team captain. Tell 3 or 4 of your friends and coworkers to come to the walk, and tell them to bring 3 or 4 of their friends or coworkers. Before you know it you have a team. You would be surprised at how many people would be interested in participating in a Memory Walk but either don’t know about it or don’t have anyone to go with. Become the leader of your friends and coworkers and take the initiative to help this great event!
I think that the Alzheimer’s Memory Walk is a very important event. Medically there is still so much to learn about Alzheimer’s and I think that with the help of everyone our knowledge of Alzheimer’s will grow greatly. Help support the researchers and sufferers of Alzheimer’s!
