I have been trying to find the best way for me to stay organized and I found that a simple calendar goes a long way. Try this! On Sunday sit down and fill out a calendar for everything you are going to do or want to do that week. Each day print out you list of events, meeting, and what ever else you have and put it next to you while you are working. You will be surprised how much more you accomplish if you do this.
I noticed that I would sit at my desk and browse random websites when I had stuff to do. If I have my list sitting next to me I will glance at it and realize that I do have stuff to do and won’t get side tracked.
At the end of the day look at your list and see how much of it was accomplished. Maybe you had to much on your list for one day and you will have to adjust or maybe you will feel like you could have gotten it all done if you would have put forth more effort. After a couple of weeks your work habit will improve and you won’t have to spen as much time behind the desk to get things done.
