We all know that the key to any good business is all in its advertising, and we all know that with a web based business that means you need more website traffic . Not only is the amount of traffic you get important but also that the traffic you are getting is your target group. With new websites and web based businesses popping up everyday it is not only a key factor but is crucial to your business thriving or dying. The best way to do this is to take advantage of search engine optimization. This can help improve your sites ranking and bring in your target traffic. This is not a cheap process but when you consider the business it will help bring in and the money you would spend on less effective forms of advertising it is well worth it. You really need a pro to do it properly as it takes hours of research and analysis. They can make sure that you have the right keywords for your business. This is one of the biggest mistakes made and one of the most important aspects to insure a profitable business, after all you want people to be able to easily find your business. They can help you decide what link words are best and also making sure they are in every possible place, from domain names to hyper links. Another great thing about having professionals help is that they can help you with link management. You want links back to your site to help improve traffic but you also want to make sure that the links are on quality sites and that there is no spam involved. So if you have a web business in need of more website traffic , get the help of a professional. It is well worth the investment!

Gmail experienced some technical issues today with the IMAP (Internet Message Access Protocol) system that allows businesses to gain access to their email and desktop server from remote locations. Google works in association with such desktop Internet messaging organization and receiving software such as Thunderbird and Microsoft Entourage which is used by many companies world wide.
While it may have been frustrating and scary for a lot of remote server business folks, Google made a statement earlier today claiming that “Gmail users had difficulty accessing some features in Gmail for about a half hour today. The issue is now resolved.”
So don’t panic, while Google is still beta testing other business related software such as Google Apps and other services, it is smart to always keep a back up of your files in case (ack! the end of the world) something catastrophic like Google crashing actually happens. (eek. Scary.)

Are you tired of being barraged by the “bigger is better” stigma? What if I told you that a ONE acre
backgammon board is being built for a backgammon master who has applied to Guinness Gamer Book of World Records for the longest dice toss in the history of the game? The “plan” is to toss the dice upwards out of a helicopter up over 200-300 feet onto the gigantic playing field. The best part about this whole thing is that two of the top backgammon players in the world will actually be PLAYING a match of giant backgammon from helicopter and by moving giant pieces on the one acre field by volunteers equipped with walkie talkies.
While it’s hard to imagine the scale of this board, the diameter of the checkers going to be used are three feet in diameter EACH. The winner of this tournament gets to keep the pair of dice valued at over 1000 euros and would make a great conversation piece to any gamers’ living room. The purpose of the event is he purpose to advertise the new freeroll promotions on Tuesdays and Fridays from the folks at Backgammon Masters. In edition to the Guinness people being invited to the event, tickets will be sold to witness the event and the proceeds from these seat purchases will be donated to charity. If backgammon isn’t your flavor you can also check out all the great blackjack games, and keep your fingers crossed for that world record! You can do it!

I don’t know how I ever lived without Tivo. Being able to not miss my favorite shows because I can’t be home and schedule my time to make sure that I don’t miss it, or try to set the VCR to record it, how did I live without my Tivo?!
If you buy yourself anything gadget, technology, or other stuff wise, believe me once you have it you wont ever know how you survived without.

HP may be known and highly respected for many things but innovative point and shoot camera design is not one of the company’s strong points, until now that is. The HP Photosmart R937 is eye catching and simple to use. Although the camera is pretty basic HP has added some cool bells and whistles so you can add creative touches to your informal picture taking. The LCD is 3.6 inches wide and is quite innovated. The LCD takes up almost the entire backside of the camera. The touch screen is one of the best I’ve ever seen on any device. The camera is a little larger than pocket size but it is easy to hold. With a stylus or your fingers you just touch one of the icons on the screen to access your settings.
The icons are simple, large and easy to read. It evens has an on-board help system that describes various settings and gives general guidance. It offers such modes as Portrait, Action, Close-ups, Panorama, Night, Beach, Snow and others. You can change photos into drawings, watercolors and kaleidoscopes. You can apply artistic borders and even give photos a vintage or retro look. As a scrapbook enthusiast, I love this feature. Be sure you spring for a second battery if you are going to use it on vacation. This is a fun little camera that I think you’ll be happy with for the price.

Lets face the facts (no pun intended)…. everyone at some point or still has to deal with zits. Call them what you want; pimples, acne, blemishes, zits…no matter what you call them they are always a problem. In fact Acne effects more then 90% of teens and half of adult women. But it is to time to do some homework boys and girls and debunk some of the myths out there about Acne . First of all, don’t give up on chocolate. Contrary to popular belief chocolate, soda, greasy foods…they don’t cause it. Neither does exercise or sweat. The truth is acne is caused by what is going on under the skin. Clogged follicles, hormones, and bacteria are the culprits here. Luckily for all those who suffer there is help and it does not have to include a trip to the dermatologist! There are many products out there that can not only fight acne but also help prevent it. I am sure you have all seen the commercials about Proactiv Solution and I am also willing to bet that you have thought about calling and trying it. Well I speak from personal experience in saying that it is worth its weight in gold! So put down the economy size bottle of cover up, do your research, and get proactive! Beautiful skin is well worth it!

In case you have been on another planet lately and have not heard about all the new video game systems out there let me catch you up…. I guess you could say the most in demand newer system is the Wii, (which I own and love and for those of you who don’t believe the hype I have lost 7 pounds playing it) it has the competition beat on system price though the extra controllers and accessories are a bit pricey and it also one of the most innovative as far as player interaction. Then you have the XBOX360, not brand new but still on a lot of peoples wish lists. Again, I am very familiar with it having previously owned one. The system itself is a bit costly but the graphics are great and for the first time you can hook your home system up to the internet and play your favorite games with other players worldwide. And we cannot go without mentioning the Playstation 3 which in this bloggers opinion offers up the most variety of games. Now with all of that being said and as much as I love all the new systems I do have to say what about the old school?
The Nintendo, Super Nintendo, Sega, and the Gamecube have all had their time to shine and it seems they are now pushed aside by the bigger and better systems on the block. I know this is the way things work and no matter what happens you won’t hear of any games being released for them again but don’t let them live out their days in a box in the garage! I have to say that I love my super Nintendo still. To this day I have it, play it, love it, and am able to find games thanks to e-bay and the like. There is nothing wrong with the new systems, everything in the world is always getting improved on and made bigger, better, and shinier than ever…..but pull out that old Sega (or whatever your old school favorite is) and play it again. You would be surprised how easily you fall in love with them all over again. And with new systems always on the horizon…don’t forgot classics never go out of style!
