We really did not suffer as bad as we thought with our tourist season this spring and summer down here in Florida. We were prepared to accept the bad only it was not that bad. Yes, the condo’s were not entirely rented out and the gas prices did keep some people from traveling but the ones that were down here spent enough money to make up the difference.
Then, the hotter it became with no rain, the more people decided to come on down and “spend” the money they saved so hard for vacation. We are still going to get traffic for the Labor day weekend but since school has started in so many places, I just can’t see people traveling that far from home only to have to get back in one or two days so the kids can go to school.
