Optimizing your pages for specific keywords is the is a great way to get targeted traffic to your website. If you were optimize for something like cars then you would get traffic from people looking for all different types of cars to your website. Do you have information about all different types of cars or is you website just about muscle cars? If you can be more specific in the keyword you optimize for it will be easier to get ranked higher on the search engines and you will get traffic from people that are looking for what you have and this will help with clickthrough rates and recurring traffic. Also, to rank high in something like cars would take years of hard work, but if you chose something like muscle cars your only up against a fraction of what you would be with the keyword cars.

Your probably wondering what is the most important keyword right? It is your domain name!! If you name your website frenchtoast.com and write about muscle cars your an idiot! A more suitable name would be musclecars.com of course that would be taken but get creative and pick a good domain name that contains your chosen keywords.
