After doing some experiments I have found that one of the easiest ways to get to the top of google is to geo target your keywords. Instead of going after pool service do New York Pool Service or what ever area you are in. It took me a month in a half to get to the 1st page on google.
I don’t know if that’s fast to other SEO’s but to me that was pretty good. I plan on doing all my optimizing like this until the sites are well established and in a position to go after some really competitive keywords.
