I have noticed that google isn’t as accurate as yahoo when it comes to backlinks. I don’t think google updates as often, so if you want to get a better understanding of the websites linking to you I would use yahoo’s site explorer. This will also give you some useful information about your site as to how yahoo sees it.
I use both yahoo and google to check on my websites. I don’t pay attention to alexa at all. I don’t think that is very accurate so I don’t even bother. Also, make sure you either have a weblog tracking software or a server side tracking software so you can see exactly who is on your site and where they are coming from.
