I am in the process of optimizing my ad space. For some reason this site is doing the worst as far as click though ratios. I think it might be because of the type of visitors I am getting. Mostly everyone that reads my articles are bloggers, web designers, and programmers. I think they just by nature don’t click on ads. Still I am going to see if changing up the ads helps at all. I have websites with less than a tenth of the traffic that this site gets and are doing better in the ad game.
I’m really not too worried about making money off this site. It is more of a hobby so it really doesn’t matter. I just thought it was interesting how much of a difference it makes where you place your ads and what type of visitors you have.
I plan on looking at some techi forums to see if any one else is getting the same results. Let me know if you have any ideas about this!
