This site is about SEO “Search Engine Optimization”. I am gathering all the information I can To help everyone out there have a better understanding of Search Engine Optimization. Things change rapidly and I will make sure I have the most current info on my site. I am also going to be using this site for my wordpress plugins and support forums and personal blog. Pretty much I have decided to make this my main website so I am going to putting a lot of cool stuff on here. Stay tuned for things like new plugins video tutorials and much more!

Hi there, I was wondering why is your SEO blog has PR 0? I have a question too about Google Page Rank, my blog has Page Rank 0 but Alexa Traffic Rank 1,122,611 but when I visit another blog, this blog has PR 3 but Alexa Traffic Rank 1,400,000. Why is it so? We all know that Alexa Traffic Rank is about numbers of visitors while Google PR is about backlinks. Any idea?
June 20th, 2007 at 4:04 pm Google updates their tool bar about every three or four months. And when they do update it it could be with old information, so use the tool bar as a reference of where your site was about 6 months ago. Your sites real pagerank is updating constantly and this is what effects where your are positioned in the search results. My blog is a page rank zero in the toolbar because I only set this thing up about two weeks ago... Alexa is not a very accurate tool, but the reason for this is if you are getting most of you traffic from search engines, Pagerank is only one of the factors in where you are in the search results. If you do a search for something you will see that the highest pagerank is not always first. It has a lot to do with keyword density and the relevance of your site to the search term. So, you could have a new site with a low pagerank but have a lot of useful content and you will get more traffic from search engines then a site with a higher pagerank but not a lot of content!
